FAQ

Match schedule

How is the competition program structured?

There are four pools with four teams in both Women's and Men's. After the first pool phase, the two best teams from two pools are regrouped into a new pool. For example, the two best teams from Pool A and the two best teams from Pool D together form a new pool, Pool E. The same goes for Pools B and C, which together form Pool F.

In the second group stage, each country plays two more matches against the two "new" countries in the new pool. The result achieved against the country already played against in the first group stage also counts for the final ranking of the new pool. The best two teams from the new pools E and F qualify for the semifinals.

The numbers three and four from these pools will play placement matches for ranking 5 to 8. The countries from groups G and H will compete for places 9 to 16.

Tickets once purchased cannot be taken back by the KNHB. They can (from February 2026) only be resold through Resell. This is the event's own resale platform. The platform offers you a reliable place for the verified resale and purchase of previously purchased event tickets.

If you want to resell a ticket, go to your confirmation email and click the Manage Order button to go to your order page. Then click on More Actions and then Resell. You can select the ticket you want to resell.

Accessibility

Where can I park my car?

Because there are also other events in the Amsterdamse Bos during the Hockey World Cup, it is not possible to park your car at the Wagener Stadion. Visitors to the Hockey World Cup can park their car at the Aalsmeer/Amstelveen Zuid parking lot. Shuttle buses will run between this parking lot and the stadium. The bus takes about 15 minutes.

Please note that from the place where the shuttle buses stop (Emmakade) you still have to walk about 15 minutes to the entrance of the event site (the stadium).

You can buy a online parking ticket (€21.50) for this parking lot. You can purchase this parking ticket directly during the ordering process of your match ticket.
Can I also come by public transportation?

Wagener Stadium is easily accessible by public transportation. The bus stop on the corner of Kalfjeslaan and Amstelveenseweg is about a 5-minute walk from Wagener Stadium. You can easily plan your route via 9292ov.nl.

We are coming by tour bus. Can we buy a parking ticket for this?

Unfortunately, there is no parking available for buses. Are you coming by tour bus? Please contact wkhockey2026@knhb.nl to discuss how pick-up and drop-off can be arranged.
