Plan Your Journey to the Hockey World Cup

Travel Smart by Public Transport

The Wagener Stadium is easily accessible by public transport during the tournament. Four buses per hour will operate between Amsterdam Zuid Station and the World Cup venue. Simply get off at Kalfjeslaan stop, and you will be just a short walk from the site.

Following matches involving the Dutch national teams, additional buses will operate between Kalfjeslaan stop and Amsterdam Zuid Station. This means a bus will depart approximately every ten minutes, allowing visitors to travel back quickly and comfortably.

These additional bus services are made possible with the support of the Province of North Holland, Governmental Partner of the FIH Hockey World Cup 2026 in the Netherlands.

Prefer to cycle the final part of your journey? An OV-fiets (public transport bicycle) is an excellent alternative. NS will ensure that the maximum number of OV-bikes will be available at Amsterdam Zuid Station throughout the tournament.

There are also several affordable ways to travel to the FIH Hockey World Cup by public transport:

  • Travelling with friends or family? Take advantage of discounted NS Group Tickets during off-peak hours.
  • Children up to and including 11 years old travel free with Kids Vrij or at a reduced rate with a Railrunner ticket.
  • In the Amstelland-Meerlanden region, children can travel free by bus.
  • With the NS Dal Vrij Monthly Pass, you can enjoy unlimited train travel during off-peak hours, weekends and public holidays for €49 per month.

Coming by Car?

Reserve Your Parking Space in Advance

Due to other activities taking place in and around the Amsterdamse Bos, parking at the Wagener Stadium will not be available.

Visitors to the Hockey World Cup can use the official parking facility: Aalsmeer/Amstelveen Zuid Parking Facility Rietwijkeroordweg 59 1432 JG Aalsmeer

From this location, shuttle buses will take visitors to the World Cup venue. The journey by buss takes approximately ten minutes. From the drop-off point at Emmakade, it is then a 10 to 15-minute walk to the entrance of the event site.

Please allow approximately 30 minutes of additional travel time from the moment you park your car until you arrive at the stadium.

A pre-booked online parking ticket is required for this parking facility. A parking ticket costs €21.50. Availability is limited, so we recommend reserving your parking space as early as possible.
